Keychains in India
Dear brothers and sisters of CityBibles,
Thank you so much for the 10,000 keychains we received. We pray for the keychains to be distributed through 200 pastors. We give each pastor 50 keychains for their own distribution and 50 for the church members. Please pray for this outreach, that God blesses the mission. We also pray for City Bibles and your families. What makes it so interesting to bring the gospel to a country like India.
Of all Indians, 80% are Hindu, 15% are Muslim and only 2% are Christian. It is mainly the Dalits (the lowest caste group) where the Christian community is growing. There are 260 million people in that lowest caste. Based on counts there would be 8 million Christians, but the number is much higher. But there is still much work to be done.
We reach many of these people through a large organization in India.
City Bibles has been able to distribute keychains and also Bibles. With this keychain a website can be opened that gives access to the City Bibles website.
Wat maakt het nu zo interessant om het evangelie te brengen in een land als India.
Van alle indiers is 80% Hindoe, 15% moslim en slechts 2% is christen. Het zijn vooral de dalits (de laagste kastengroep) waar de christengemeenschap groeit. Er zijn 260 miljoen mensen in die laagste kaste. Op grond van tellingen zouden er 8 miljoen christenen zijn maar het getal ligt veel hoger. Maar er is nog veel werk te doen.
Via een grote organisatie in India bereiken wij veel van deze mensen.
City Bibles heeft sleutelhangers en ook Bijbels kunnen verspreiden. Met deze sleutelhanger kan een website geopend worden die toegang geeft tot de website van City Bibles.
Met meerdere organisaties is City Bibles nu werkzaam in India.
